I do love finding a good dupe, especially when I end up preferring it to the higher end brand, which was the exact case with Makeup Revolution's What You Waiting For? Salvation Palette and Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette. Okay, so its not an exact dupe some of the colours are slightly different when it comes to their undertones and warmth but its a pretty close match. I noticed the similarity when I swatched Makeup Revolution's palette for the first time the other week, and straight away it reminded me of Urban Decay's Naked Basics. The whole beauty community seem to go crazy for the Naked series by Urban Decay, and shock horror I've never bought in to the hype of Naked 1, 2 and 3 (however this will probably be broken pretty soon as Naked 3 is on my wishlist), so as for now Naked Basics its the only Urban Decay product I've tried.

Makeup Revolution London Ultra Blush Limited Edition Sugar and Spice Palette | Review & MAC Giveaway Winner
Apologies for my awful photo quality at the moment, it seems to be consistent how bad they've been recently but my camera broke and I'm in need of a new one seen as though my iPhone camera doesn't do any of my posts justice. That aside, this is the next post in my little Makeup Revolution London series as they sent me five different products to play around with. This was the second palette I received from Makeup Revolution London and I have to say, again they didn't fail to impress me with the sleek and classy packaging. Something I really love about their palettes is that the mirrors are huge as the palette is bigger than your average Sleek or MUA palettes, and unlike the Sleek i-Divine eyeshadow palettes the mirror in this one does not need to be propped up with something to stay up when you're using it. As I said though, the palettes are quite large and wouldn't be ideal to just throw in your handbag or to go travelling with, but for £6.00 that's not a big issue.

Makeup Revolution London were kind enough to send me some of their products to review on my blog, and this palette was included in my package. I've been using it all week, hence the marks in the products despite me trying to keep it clean so I apologise, I should have photographed everything in advance! The Gwen Stefani inspired eye shadow palette, in other words the 'What You Waiting For? Salvation Palette' couldn't have been a better choice for me. There are a variety of colours from light to dark however they're all pretty neutral, and for a neutral girl like me these are perfect. I'm going to keep this post short and sweet as I have many Makeup Revolution products to talk to you about in the next few weeks. I have to say though, out of the products I was sent this was the item I was most excited about..my eye shadow palette collection is increasing.

July is coming around very soon, which is actually scary because of how fast this year has gone. It really doesn't seem that Christmas was long a go at all, I it'll be back so soon because I can see this summer flying by. I thought I ought to make a wishlist for July as I haven't done one in a really long time, and there's a few things that have caught my eye this season.

MAC Lipstick Giveaway still open HERE
I've been excited to write this post for ages now, as it is my first official PR post. After being in contact with Makeup Revolution via email, who were lovely and extremely professional and quick to reply to emails and tweets, I hadn't stopped wondering what they would be sending me to review on my blog. Its not secret that Makeup Revolution have taken the blogging world by storm these past few months, and regardless of the controversy surrounding opinions that they have re-created high end products as dupes and have 'copied' the well known Superdrug brand MUA, I am still really excited to try these products out and review them for you.

MAC Lipstick giveaway still open HERE
Like most beauty bloggers, I am a huge sucker for packaging. When I say I buy products for their packaging however, I mean sleek classy and 'professional looking' packaging - particularly if it's in black. So when it comes to Benefit, I've never been a massive fan of the out going names and detailed images all in different colours everywhere, however I am slowly becoming more of a benefit fan and trying to get past my dislike for their packaging (I know people are going to be shocked by me saying this as the majority of makeup lovers I have talked too are huge fans of Benefit and their theme).

If you follow me on Instagram you will know I purchased two new MAC lipsticks on the weekend, I'm too obsessed with them. Cosmo was one of the two which I picked up, I particularly chose this shade because its in my favourite MAC lipstick finish which is Amplified. The reason I love the Amplified finishes so much is because they are so creamy and moisturising yet at the same time are highly highly pigmented. What gets me confused is why there isn't a bright red colour in the permanent amplified lipstick collection, which is a shame because I reckon it would be so popular. But yes, back to Cosmo.. I wanted a new nude lipstick but I'm not a huge fan of the Matte finishes which most of MAC's nudes seem to be in, so I opted for Cosmo which is a slighter darker nude colour (which Kylie Jenner is sporting beautifully right now) with pink undertones. It is actually very similar to Faux which is a satin lipstick by MAC with more of a purple undertone and comparing the two together they do look very much a like, but this isn't too much of an issue as Faux is very well loved

When it comes to my obsession with lashes, it has definitely come on very fast. Even 2 months ago I would only wear eyelashes when going to parties, but now it has become a pretty much everyday ritual for me (apart from the odd school days when I really can't be bothered, which I suppose is most of the time). I'm putting it down to when you try something once and love it, you want it to stay that way. I first tried the Eylure 116 lashes a few weeks ago when they were in Boots for clearance for a price of just £2.60, and to say you got two pairs that are highly reusable I didn't think it was a bad offer. I would definitely recommend looking at the sales in Boots and Superdrug as most of Eylure's products are out for clearance due to them replacing their packaging with a more English sophisticated patriotic look.

Manuka Doctor are well known due to the many beauty and skincare awards they have won over the past several years such as winning 'Beauty Insiders Choice' three years running - 2012, 2013 and 2014. Seeing their achievements plastered all over their website raised my expectations, and of course with their products being quite pricey I expected their skincare to really help hydrate and nourish my skin. I ordered the 'try me' kit from their website when they were doing a one day special offer of giving it away for free, okay so I did have to pay £3.50 for postage but I don't think that's bad considering this kit retails at £15.99 which is pretty steep for three tubes with only 7ml of product in each. The 'try me' kit came with three different products, the Restoring Night Cream, Rejuvenating Face Mask and the Age Defying Serum. I haven't had chance to try the other two out properly yet, but I have fully used up the night cream hence why I am blogging about it.

Hi girlies, today I have an exciting little post on my first ever Topshop lipstick, yes first. Shock horror, this is the first product I have tried from the Topshop makeup range despite it being released years ago! Of course I had to chose a lipstick, because I am 100% a lipstick hoarder and I'm actually in need of a new Muji case as it is full now. I am definitely the type of girl who will make baskets on every single makeup site of everything I want and never actually get round to purchasing them, and the Topshop makeup range is no exception. I've heard so many bloggers say that the Topshop lipsticks are exact dupes for MAC ones and for just £8.00 I had to find out whether this claim was true or not. One thing I have seen bloggers write is that they aren't a fan of the packaging, however I actually really like it. I'm not usually a fan of white packaged products but the off-white colour gives these lipsticks a sense of originality and I think the dark brown detailing is cute also. The stickers at the bottom definitely remind me of MAC however they are coloured so its easy to tell which lipstick is which.
