Being Blonde | Let's Talk Toners

I've been 'blonde' for over two years now, so I've had my fair share of trialling about every single blonde toner on the market. If you have highlights, or blonde hair you'll know the struggles of removing brassy tones and keeping your hair fresh and ashy. Brassy tones have always been a problem with me when bleaching my hair, as I'm naturally a brunette and have had red dye in my hair from my younger years.

A little bit of history - I started getting highlights about two years ago and have continued to do so up until a few weeks ago when I decided to just bleach the whole lot. Every time I've had my highlights touched up and re-done I've always had brassy tones and had to use toners, after about a week of using toning products my hair resumes to the usual ash blonde highlight look until I need to start again when my roots have grown out. I've tested so many different toners over the years, some I've been highly impressed with and will continue to use, and others less so. After bleaching my hair all over, my range of toning products were most definitely put to the test, but after really persevering it payed off - even if it is a difficulty to maintain sometimes.

I'm going to write a post all about how I bleach and dye my hair so look out for that soon, but for now let's discuss my favourite picks for neutralising those brassy tones...

2017 | Turning Pain into Power

Taking what seems like the longest break from blogging has made me re-evaluate so much, and at some part I did fall out of love with blogging. I've debated writing an honest post for months now - but come to the point that I need to make positivity out of the things that are hardest in life.

I've never been into new years resolutions, but turning 20 has made me realise you can't stay stuck in the same thoughts forever (as hard and horrible as it can be). Its completely ok to not be ok - wise words of Jessie J - but, there comes a point when you have to at least try and move on from hurtful memories.

I wouldn't be able to summarise all the ways that I do this, but somehow I manage it. No one is perfect, everyone has down days but these are ways in which I'm able to put things into a little bit of perspective.

New Purse: Marc Jacobs & Uni Update

I've had the same purse for a while now and fancied a little change. I guess its retail therapy too because I'm having a pretty bad time right now. I selected the Recruit Open Face Wallet by Marc Jacobs, a lot smaller than my previous purse but its just what I need and completely lightweight.

I'm going back to uni and soon and this definitely wont be weighing my bag down when walking around campus. I can't believe freshers week is a month away and I'll be starting my second year so soon. This time last year I didn't even know the five girls I've just spent a week on holiday with, crazy. Its surreal how much your life can change in one year, looking back on first year (or should I say half a year) I guess I've learnt a few things.

I keep trying to find time to blog, or topics to talk about but the difference between blog content these days between now and when I started is massively different. I'm definitely less interested in the subjects I used to write about, so I'm just going to stick to writing about what I love now.

Summer Haul; Adidas, ASOS, Shopbop etc...

Hello! I've bought a few new things for summer recently and I wanted to post them on my blog as a little haul. I'm actually in love with my adidas Originals Stan Smith Super Colour Shock Mint Trainers.  I purchased these on ASOS in a UK size 6 and they fit perfectly - definitely true to size. These are honestly the comfiest trainers I own, and also completely different to anything I own (as pretty much everything I have is black or neutral). I really love the colour, even though some of my friends think they're just ridiculous and wouldn't be seen dead with me in them. These retail at £65.00, but ASOS do have 10% student discount so I got them for £58.50 with free delivery.
